This is the week to end all weeks, in the land of never-should-we-ever foods — the days leading up to Christmas.
When you look at the table and see plates upon plates of festive delicacies — which are so beautiful you almost don’t want to disturb them, yet too scrumptious to leave be — it can be overwhelming. This is especially true if you are trying to maintain a healthy diet!
While there’s absolutely nothing wrong with indulging a bit now and then, the holiday season should not be considered a free-for-all, nor should it necessitate building an extra layer of “insulation” to stave off the cold.
So, how can you enjoy the holidays and still love your food? One way is to make sure to eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables alongside your comfort foods. Also, eating adequate amounts of protein will keep you feeling satisfied, thus preventing the sugar-craving hysteria that often accompanies hunger.
At Camille’s, we use the absolute freshest greens, ripest fruits, and leanest meats possible in all of our menu items. Whether it’s a richly balanced salad, a flatbread pizza, or a cold, refreshing fruit smoothie, you can rest assured that the food you eat inside these doors does have nutritional value.
Okay, okay. We admit — Camille’s also has delicious cookies and mouth-watering desserts. Perhaps a “one-a-day” policy isn’t appropriate for these selections, but every now and then, you just gotta treat yourself! The key is balance.

It’s already November, and the hustle and bustle of the holiday season is right around the corner. Given the unseasonably nice weather we’ve been having, the idea of crowded malls, traffic, and Black Friday seems like a legend of holiday lore.
